This photo of Mt. Baker was taken from one of the Edmonds-Kingston ferry boats. Mt Baker is a Cascade volcano and stands 10,778 feet above sea level. It is snow-capped year round and is the 3rd tallest peak in Washington. Just below Mt Baker is one of the Mukilteo-Columbia Beach ferries which carry traffic from the mainland to Whidbey Island. This view is north-northeast.
