Leaving Edmonds on the ferry. Behind the ferry dock, on either side, is Brackett's Landing park, named for the founder of Edmonds and located very close to the spot where George Brackett came ashore from Puget Sound for the first time in 1870. In the background are the luxury homes of Emerald Hills, nearly every one of which has a breathtaking view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
