Carroll Creek just below (north) of ghost town of Alpine. This photo is taken from the BPA access road that runs just north of the site of the town of Alpine. This location is about 500 yards north of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. Carroll Creek empties into the Tye River about 1/2 mile north of this location and about 300 feet lower, just west of Alpine Falls. A Great Northern Railway employee named Carroll was killed in an accident in 1898; Carroll Creek may be named for him. Photo taken May 14, 2009 by Jackie Cuddy.
